Compare / Simple Booth alternative

A Simple Booth alternative for booths that aren't only iPads.

Simple Booth's HALO app is a polished iPad photo booth. Operators look for an alternative when they want to run Windows DSLR booths or Android tablets, pay less for the software, or buy the kiosk from the same company. Here is how the two compare, using Simple Booth's own published plans.

Software price

Simple Booth's plans start at Core for $49 a month, or $24 for a week, and rise through Plus at $99 and Pro at $149 to Select at $249. DG Photobooth starts at $30 a month for DG Unlimited, or $1 for a single day, with DG Unlimited (3 devices) at $90 a month for 3 devices and white label.

For an operator with a handful of events a month, that difference in the software plan usually matters more than the price of each AI image.

Details

AI price per photo

Simple Booth charges $0.10 per credit, and each AI image uses one, two or three credits depending on the model, so an AI photo costs $0.10 to $0.30. DG Photobooth charges $0.45 per AI image on every plan, at the same price in packs of 500 to 10,000.

If your events use a lot of AI images and you are happy on iPad, Simple Booth's cheapest model costs less per photo. If you want lower software costs, more platforms or AI that queues offline, DG Photobooth is usually cheaper per event.
